Nepal Geological Society organized a day symposium on 29 October 2024 (13 Kartik 2081) on the occasion of International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR)-2024 with the theme of “Empowering the next generation for a resilient future” in coordination with National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) and Disaster Preparedness Network Nepal (DPNet Nepal) at the auditorium hall of Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Honorable Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Mr. Devendra Dahal was present as the Chief Guest for the program. Many delegates from different governmental and nongovernmental bodies such as Nepal Engineering Association, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, professional from different disaster related field, university students participated in the program with great enthusiasm.
