The Workshop on Mining Industry Reality in Nepal, organized by the Training and Capacity Building Committee, Nepal Geological Society (NGS), was successfully concluded on 9 August 2026 at Siddhartha Cottage, Tinkune, Kathmandu.

Under the theme “From Theory to Mining Practice: Status, Structure, and the Road Ahead,” the workshop brought together geologists, mining professionals, students, young graduates, industry representatives, and other stakeholders to explore the opportunities and challenges facing Nepal’s mining industry.

From mineral resources and exploration to mining methods, project development, regulations, processing, value addition, careers, consulting, and entrepreneurship, the sessions provided participants with practical perspectives beyond the classroom.

We sincerely thank all our speakers, resource persons, participants, government representatives, industry professionals, and partners for making the program a great success.
