US Dollar, Canadian Dollar, British Pound, Euro, Australian Dollar, Japanese Yen, Singapore Dollar, Indian Rupee and Chinese Yuan can be exchanged in the banks, Star Hotels, and authorized Money Changer. As of May 25, 2018, US$ 1 is equivalent to NRs 109.22 and, it may subject to change during the conference time.

PASSPORT AND VISA

All the foreign participants must have valid passport and visa for entering into Nepal. For the visitors from most of the countries around the globe, visa on arrival can be obtained from the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Participants are advised to contact the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries to get visa for entering into Nepal. For those of you planning to acquire a visa upon arrival at the airport, please bring with you two passport-sized photographs and US$25 (current price) cash for the visa fee. For the participants from India, a valid identification or passport is sufficient. For the participants from other SAARC countries visiting Nepal, Gratis Visa is available since 2014. We request you to confirm by yourself if you are eligible for Gratis Visa or not.

WEATHER

During the month of November, the weather in Kathmandu is generally pleasant, neither too hot, nor too cold. November is considered as the best month for visiting most of the touristic places in Nepal including Kathmandu valley, Pokhara, Lumbini and their surroundings. Based on the temperature trend, the average daytime temperature in Kathmandu during November will be about 15oC, which is just the perfect for trekking and outdoor activities. Mornings and evenings will be cool, and it is advised the participants to bring warm clothes with them.

ACCOMMODATION

Wide ranges of hotels are available in Kathmandu for the accommodation of participants, from expensive 5 star Hotels to fairly inexpensive non-star hotels. A list of hotels with their contact details and their charges for single and double occupancy will be provided later for your convenience in the Third Circular. The room rates can roughly range from US$ 30.00 to US$ 35.00 per night.
