Nepal Geological Society has five categories of Memberships.
1. Honorary Member
Nepal Geological Society honours eminent geoscientists who have valuable contribution in the scientific researches in the Himalaya by awarding the Honorary Membership.

2. Life Member (National)
Full membership of the society is granted to a person holding a Masters Degree or equivalent in Geological Sciences or a Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering and other related disciplines, subject to endorsement by the Executive Committee and (or) Annual General Meeting. A copy of valid Nepali Citizenship should be presented during application submission for membership.
Membership Fee: NRs. 3,500
3. Life Member (International)
Full membership of the society is granted to a person holding a Masters Degree or equivalent in Geological Sciences or a Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering and other related disciplines, subject to endorsement by the Executive Committee and (or) Annual General Meeting. A copy of valid national identity document or passport should be presented during application submission for membership.
Membership Fee: $ 100 (For SAARC countries nationals)
$ 200 (For non-SAARC countries nationals)
4. Member
Full membership of the society is granted to a person holding a Masters Degree or equivalent in Geological Sciences or a Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering and other related disciplines, subject to endorsement by the Executive Committee and (or) Annual General Meeting. This membership should be renewed every year.
Membership and Yearly Renew Fee: NRs. 600
5. Associate Member
Associate Membership is granted to a person holding a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in geological or related sciences, or to a person actively engaged in the development, exploration and exploitation of mineral resources.
