Interaction Program on Application of Geological Knowledge on Mining Sector: Opportunities and Knowledge Gap is going to be organized by the Academic and Professional Development Sub-Committee of Nepal Geological Society (NGS) and co-organized by Nepal Geological Students’ Society (NGSS) on Shrawan 15 2078 (July 30, 2021) Time: 04:00 PM. The objective of the program is to identify the gap between the knowledge acquired by the graduates and that required in the Professional Field; and finding ways to bridge this gap.

Mr. Bharat Kunwar, Director representing public shareholders at Standard Chartered Bank Limited Nepal; Mining Engineer, Mr. Lila Nath Rimal, Senior Geologist, Sonapur Minerals and Oil Limited and Mr. Jay Raj Ghimire, Deputy Director General of Department of Mines & Geology; Mining Engineer are the Panelists of this program. The program will be chaired by Mr. Ram Prasad Ghimire, President of Nepal Geological Society (NGS) and Director General of the Department of Mines & Geology. Dr. Subodh Dhakal, Coordinator of Academic and Professional Development Sub-Committee of NGS and Associate Professor, Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University. will moderate this program.
