Nepal Geological Society has four categories of Memberships.
1. Honorary Member
Nepal Geological Society honours eminent geoscientists who have valuable contribution in the scientific researches in the Himalaya by awarding the Honorary Membership.

2. Life Member
Any person, as defined in clause 1, can become the life member of the society upon payment of the life membership fees.
Membership Fee: NRs. 3500
3. Member
Full membership of the society is granted to a scientist holding a Masters Degree or equivalent in Geological Sciences or a Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering and other related disciplines, subject to endorsement by the Executive Committee and (or) Annual General Meeting. This membership should be renewed every year.
Membership Fee: NRs. 600
4. Associate Member
Associate Membership is granted to a person holding a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in geological or related sciences, or to a person actively engaged in the development, exploration and exploitation of mineral resources.
