The thirteenth presentation of the “NGS Webinar Series 2021” will be on 24 July 2021 (२०७८-०४-०९) Saturday, 3 PM onwards. The presentation will be given by Dr.Suchita Shrestha (Ph.D.)
The lecture will be on the topic “Hill slope hazard assessment of affected districts by the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake”.
Suchita Shresth is working as a Geologist from 2010 to 2013 and as a Senior Divisional Geologist from 2013 to date in the Department of Mines and Geology, Government of Nepal. She has a master’s degree in geology (engineering geological techniques) from Tribhuvan University in 2001 and a Ph.D. in 2018 from Pukyong National University of South Korea. She has granted Brain Korea 21 Plus award from Korean Government for one year during her study. She had published more than ten international publications. This webinar will focus on the prediction of co-seismic landslides based on the 2015 Gorkha earthquake.
